Organic Waste to Energy (OWE) provides sustainable waste management services with the added benefit of energy independence.
OWE hopes to build an industrial biogas plant in the Western Cape, with the vision of expanding and building larger 3MW biogas plants nationwide.
Each industrial biogas plant will produce a renewable energy source, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and create jobs while diverting 180 000 tons of food and organic waste from landfills annually.
The company has already secured the support of a large waste management provider and a large retail complex to produce sustainable energy for their operations.
